The Texas Folklife Festival
June 11 – 13, 2010

Join the Lone Star Party this year at the Texas Folklife Festival. For three days, friends, families, and complete strangers will come together to experience the culture and heritage of those who settled, developed and collectively define the Lone Star state.

Event stages will showcase 25 hours of music and engaging performances. Traditional food dishes from Europe, Asia, South America, Mexico and Texas will be featured this year, and craft aficionados, shoppers and the just plain curious are sure to get a kick out of festival demonstrators and artisans who come to share their talent.

Parking
All grounds and parking surrounding the Institute of Texan Cultures are used for the Texas Folklife Festival. There is no available parking on site.
There are many nearby parking garages, lots and meters within walking distance. Due to the popularity of the event, guests are strongly encouraged to take advantage of VIA Park & Ride and Streetcar services. If you need access to handicapped parking, VIAtrans is recommended as a more convenient and viable transportation option.

Want to volunteer? The Texas Folklife Festival requires more than 1,000 volunteers to be a success. Volunteers who work four hours or more will receive a wristband valid for admission on all three days of the event. A percentage of the proceeds from the event support the efforts of cultural heritage groups across the state.

To learn more about becoming a volunteer, e-mail TFFVolunteer@utsa.edu or call the volunteer hotline at (210) 458-2216.
